PROFESSIONAL SEMINAR III
Introduction

This is the third in a sequence of three courses that will examine professional issues that physician assistants (PA) commonly face in practice. Topics covered this semester include

1. Writing a CV and cover letter

2. Continuing medical education and conference attendance

3. Medical malpractice from an attorney's perspective

4. Professional Liability

5. Trends in the Physician Assistant profession

6. Ethical issues in healthcare that pertain to clinical practice of the PA.

Through lectures, computer technology, and classroom and panel discussions, students will gain practical insight into these common issues faced by physician assistants during practice.
