OUR STUDENTS & CURRICULUM

We have 29 students in the class of 2007. Fourteen of them have already earned Bachelor degrees, and three more have Associate degrees. The average age of the class is 30. For most of these students, practicing as physician assistants will be a second career in health care. Their backgrounds include respiratory therapy, nursing, emergency medical services, laboratory technology, radiological therapy, and teaching.

The Program suggests a minimum of 500 hours of hands-on health care experience for all students entering the program. This experience varies from having had prior health-related occupations to volunteering in a physician's office. See pictures and autobiographies of our students.
