Mission Statement

The mission of the Physician Assistant Program at the Jefferson College of Health Sciences is to prepare physician assistants who are well versed in the art and science of medicine for service to their communities, with special attention to eliminating disparities in health care.

Vision Statement

The Physician Assistant Program will prepare and educate students to provide comprehensive primary care services to individuals in their communities. To achieve this, the curriculum is designed to:

  • Emphasize clinical training opportunities for diverse populations.

  • Integrate health promotion, behavioral medicine, and disease prevention into traditional health care.

  • Focus on the importance of providing cost-effective patient-centered care.

  • Encourage personal as well as professional growth.

  • Use teaching methodologies that promote lifelong learning.
